About Me

In August 1977, I married my beautiful wife, and we are still together today. I was just seventeen and she was barely eighteen. We were young, but so much in love. I used to joke that if I had to, I would swim across the Atlantic Ocean just to get to her, and honestly, I still would. She still makes me weak in the knees.

A few years later, we welcomed the first of our four wonderful kids, who have since blessed us with eight beautiful grandchildren. They keep us busy and fill our lives with joy every single day.

My Career Journey

I began my career in the concrete trades in Mesa, Arizona, and soon after ran a drywall business from 1979 to 1989. In time, I earned my General Contractor’s License in the State of Utah and spent decades building every aspect of residential projects: from custom homes and multi-family residences to remodels, additions, and even small commercial projects.

By 1991, I had discovered another passion, designing home plans. What began as an added service for my homeowners grew into a full-fledged design practice. Over the years, I have been honored to design and build 12 Parade of Homes, each project further strengthening my reputation in custom home design.

Today, after closing down my construction company at the end of 2022, I have chosen to focus exclusively on what I truly love: home plan design and drafting.

That insight allows me to help clients avoid costly mistakes, streamline construction, and bring their vision to life without unnecessary expense.

I have worked on challenging hillside lots and complex properties, always making sure the design takes full advantage of the natural beauty and views. I thrive on the collaborative process of design, working closely with homeowners to craft plans that are not only beautiful but also functional and cost-efficient.

As an independent designer, you will work directly with me throughout the process. I take on only as much as I can manage professionally, so when we collaborate, you can expect my full attention, prompt communication, and personal commitment from start to finish.
