In this industry there are architectural designers that don’t really know how to build anything, and there are builders without aesthetics. Gary’s vast experience combines the best of both worlds. With extensive building experience covering decades and many hundreds of homes, Gary only designs what can actually be built. Yet his designs range from modern and luxury to modest and affordable.

We found Gary when looking for builders for our custom home. We already had an extensive design at the time, and were just looking for someone to build it, if we could actually do so. What impressed us about Gary was the attention he gave to our original plan. When market realities made it clear that we could not afford to build our original design, we ended up essentially playing paper-dolls with our plans, cutting things up and shuffling them around. Gary took those pieces and created a new design for us. This brought elements of our dreams to life. We love our home.

Over the following years, I have seen many of Gary’s designs, including high-end residential, and large-scale commercial, or even down to simple garage extensions. While many designers out there either crank out cookie-cutter plans, or get carried away with whimsical designs that could never be built, Gary’s talents for designing can extend with your imagination, yet still become a reality because he knows what it takes. It’s all in the details.

Gary Monteer Design delivers at an exceptional level. Every detail feels intentional, refined, and elevated. The materials, finishes, and overall vision come together in a way that feels both timeless and high-end without ever feeling overdone.

The experience was seamless and highly curated, true white-glove service from concept to completion. If you’re looking for sophisticated design that feels luxurious, this is it.

Gary was great to work with and offered valuable insights that really improved on the vision we were going for. We converted the garage into a master suite with a spacious and well designed bathroom. We also expand the kitchen. Gary helped us design, remodel and renovate our space. Very happy with his work!

I don’t think I can say enough good about Gary’s work. I gave him my ideas and he not only was able to put my vision on paper, he had great ideas to add. He stuck with me through the entirel permit process which wasn’t easy. I would encourage anyone to use this company. He will not disappoint! I now have a beautiful ADU. That went from these first four photos to the next

As my wife and I began our journey towards our dream home, we quickly learned we were in over our heads.
After our first meeting with Gary, our worries were eased.
He was able to take our thoughts, and wishes and convert them to an amazing work of art. Gary's designs are amazing. Gary comes highly recommended in our book!
